Alfonso Pinto was born in Lucena (Córdoba) in 1.951.

His initial contact with golf was at the age of 14, caddying at the Spanish Royal Equestrian Association Club de Campo, in Madrid. Little by little, he introduced himself to this field until he became a professional golfer. He shared his initial stage with players as illustrious as Manuel Piñero, J.M. Cañizares...

In 1976, when golf started expanding in Valencia, he moved to his current house.

Nowadays he combines his functions as a teacher at the El Bosque Golf Club with the chair of the Commitee of Professionals of the Valencian Golf Federation.
